{"id":3619,"date":"2022-05-01T06:30:51","date_gmt":"2022-05-01T12:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.craftbeer.com\/recipes\/beer-battered-fish-tacos-with-mango-salsa-and-avocado-crema\/"},"modified":"2024-02-13T10:32:28","modified_gmt":"2024-02-13T17:32:28","slug":"beer-battered-fish-tacos-with-mango-salsa-and-avocado-crema","status":"publish","type":"recipes","link":"https:\/\/www.craftbeer.com\/recipes\/beer-battered-fish-tacos-with-mango-salsa-and-avocado-crema","title":{"rendered":"IPA-Battered Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa and Avocado Crema"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>IPA Batter &amp; Fish<\/h3>\n<p>Combine 1 cup of the flour, paprika, chili powder, cumin and salt in a medium bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Add the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftbeer.com\/styles\/american-india-pale-ale\">IPA<\/a>, whisk to combine, and let sit at room temperature at least 30 minutes to allow the yeasts to develop.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, pat the fish dry, season with salt and pepper and cut into 1-inch cubes.<\/p>\n<p>Toss with the remaining 1\/2 cup flour.<\/p>\n<h3>Mango Salsa<\/h3>\n<p>To prepare the mango salsa, combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Taste and season with more salt, lime or hot sauce if necessary.<\/p>\n<h3>Avocado Crema<\/h3>\n<p>For the avocado crema, use a fork to mash the avocado in a medium bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Add the yogurt, sour cream, hot sauce and lime, and continue mashing to form a smooth sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Add more yogurt or sour cream to achieve your desired consistency, and season with salt and hot sauce.<\/p>\n<h3>Frying the Fish<\/h3>\n<p>To fry the fish, heat 1\/2-inch oil in a large skillet to 375\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>Working in batches, shake off the excess flour from the fish, then coat with the beer batter. Being careful not to overcrowd the pan, fry in the hot oil 3-5 minutes, or until golden-brown and cooked through.<\/p>\n<p>You may need to test a few in the first batch to get the time right.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain and repeat with remaining fish.<\/p>\n<h3>Assembly<\/h3>\n<p>To assemble, warm the tortillas and fill with fish.<\/p>\n<p>Drizzle with avocado crema and top with mango salsa.<\/p>\n<p>Serve with lime wedges and additional hot sauce if desired.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Add your favorite IPA to this
